My Bio
I'm Jeremiah Walton, manager of small publishing press Nostrovia! Poetry. Nostrovia! Poetry publishes through zines, blogs, ebooks, broadsides, nano poem collections, anthologies, and various other medians.

Mine and Nostrovia! Poetry's goal is to defeat the stereotypes that surround poetry. I was born February 12, 1995, and so many members of my generation label poetry as "whiny and pretentious". I am to show them otherwise.

Unfortunately Jeremiah's time is mostly taken up by the printing press so Jazzy Zajac (the unpaid intern) will be the one who mostly runs this. Jeremiah will do his best to come on and talk to people.

Nostrovia! Poetry, back in late 2011 to early 2012, had a weekly poetry contest.  That contest was put in "limbo" for a little while, and it never quite got out of purgatoryl. January, 2013, Nostrovia! Poetry announced it had a new contest in the works, a Monthly Poem Contest.  Every month, a winner is featured on Nostrovia! Poetry's website and receives promotion and a spot in an anthology of the winners published at the end of the year.  2nd and 3rd place are both published through the Guest Blog. Now, February's contest has ended, and there was an explosion of great poetics.  The winner was Wendy McCutchen for her poem This Spring.  You

Read more about the the broadsides at Nostrovia! Poetry. We are currently seeking designers interested in participating.  If you'd like to design a broadside, please email Jeremiah Walton at jeremiahwalton [at] nostroviatowriting [dot] com. Cheers!

Has your poetry or writing ever been "too obscene" for publication?  Here's a remedy for that. Nostrovia! Poetry is currently accepting submissions for a one-issue zine titled "Too Obscene". The goal of this publication is to show that there can be literary merit within the obscene.  A poem that says "fuck" as much as possible won't gain publication.  A poem that has literary merit and value that discusses material that could be deemed offensive will be. There will be poems that aren't "obscene" within the collection as well, though the focus is on the great pieces of writing that were rejected by other presses because of their content. T
